What do I do for dry, cracked hands? (As a sorta crunchy woman)
First Step: Prevention
No artificial fragrances. Common culprits: hand and dish soap, lotions, hair products, laundry detergents
Protect from irritants. Wear gloves while doing dishes, laundry, cleaning, and in cold weather
Nutrients. Being deficient in certain vitamins, minerals, and healthy fats can contribute to dry and irritated skin. Vitamin A, D, E, and Omega 3's are common nutrients. You can retain a lot of these nutrients from salmon, sardines, and beef liver!
Second Step: Maintenance
Gentle Exfoliation. Multiple times a week with either a normal wash cloth or body scrub glove
Moisturize. Use a moisturizer without alcohol or fragrance. Both can be irritating to the skin
